As fall approaches and the motorcycle season draws to a close, it's time to think ahead. A motorcycle that gets the right care before winter will thank you with a trouble-free and ready-to-go spring.

At LEKS Motor AS, we help you take care of your bike the way it deserves – safe, dry and frost-free throughout the winter.

How to get your bike ready for winter

• Give it a proper wash Remove road salt, dirt and oil that can damage the surface. Dry thoroughly – moisture is the worst for both metal and electronics.
• Change oil and filter It is smart to do this before storage. Fresh oil protects the engine, while old oil can contain residues that cause problems.
• Take care of the battery Unplug it and store it dry, preferably with a maintenance charger. This will avoid any surprises in the spring.
• Fill the tank
  A full tank of fresh gasoline and a little fuel stabilizer prevents condensation and deposits in the system.
• Look over the tires
  Check the tread and inflate to the recommended pressure. If possible, lift the bike off the ground to avoid flat spots.
• Lubricate and protect
  Give your chain, cables and hinges a little care with lubrication. This will prevent rust and ensure everything moves smoothly when spring comes.
• Cover it.
  A breathable cover protects against dust and moisture – and allows the bike to “breathe” throughout the winter.

Security and insurance .

Your own insurance applies as normal during storage. If the bicycle is locked away, you must arrange fire and theft coverage yourself.

Winter edition from September 2025 to May 2026 – from NOK 2,900 incl. VAT

(Price depends on type of bike and any additional services.)

When spring approaches, let us know at least a week in advance. We'll install the battery, do a quick check - and make sure everything is ready for the start of the season.

Then just pick up your bike, turn the key and enjoy a new season on two wheels.
