LEKS SAR Edition – specially developed Sea-Doo rescue watercraft for search and rescue

The original that is our starting point
LEKS Motor is now developing the LEKS SAR Edition – a new series of rescue watercraft based on Sea-Doo, built for professional use in Norwegian conditions. In collaboration with Bærum Plast AS and as members of Norboat, we are further developing the platform with reinforced hulls, high operational reliability and adaptability for rescue services, police, defense and voluntary organizations.
Experience from Sea-Doo Rescue
The starting point for the LEKS SAR Edition is the Sea-Doo Rescue model, produced in the period 2015–2019. The platform was used by rescue organizations, police and volunteers. Experience has shown a well-functioning rescue platform, and LEKS Motor is building on these qualities. At the same time, we have improved customization options, parts availability and practical solutions for service and maintenance – important for operational safety in Norway.


Further developed for Norwegian conditions
All hulls are reinforced both internally and externally for increased durability, stability and longevity. The models are equipped with PVC/Hypalon collars for more buoyancy, better balance in rescue work and extra side protection when manoeuvring close to shore.

Better workshop access and support
To ensure operation throughout the season, national support is prioritized: more workshops can perform repairs, parts availability is increased, and technical assistance is available through local professional communities. The result is faster service, less downtime, and more predictable operation.
Collaboration with Bærum Plast AS and Norboat
LEKS SAR Edition is developed together with Bærum Plast AS. The collaboration makes it possible to adapt the hulls to the actual load and area of use. All hulls are reinforced both inside and out during production.
LEKS Motor and Bærum Plast AS are members of Norboat – the Norwegian Boat Industry Association. Membership commits to documented quality, serious operation and compliance with industry standards for safety and the environment.
Three models – three areas of use
LEKS SAR Spark
Built on the Sea-Doo Spark with a Polytec hull. Light weight and agile handling make it suitable for rivers, lakes and narrow harbors. Can also be used as a rapid response unit on larger vessels.

LEKS SAR GTI and GTX
Based on the Sea-Doo GTI (Polytec II hull) and GTX (ST3 fiberglass hull), both feature internal and external reinforcement for rescue use and come with the iDF (Intelligent Debris Free) system.
iDF allows the operator to reverse the water flow in the suction pump and remove debris, seaweed or rope without entering the water. This provides safer operation in shallow and vegetated areas.

LEKS SAR Explorer
Largest model, based on the Sea-Doo Explorer, for long-term operations and monitoring. Also available with iDF for safe operation in areas with debris and seaweed.

Developed together with the professional community
The project has been carried out in dialogue with rescue service practitioners, police and voluntary organisations. Input from operational personnel has influenced the placement of attachment points, towing solutions, deck layout and ergonomics.
Operational reliability and predictable service
Standard Sea-Doo components are combined with our reinforcements and customizations. This ensures compatibility with existing workshops and short parts delivery times. The goal is continuous readiness and minimal downtime.
Customization as needed
The machines can be configured with searchlights, blue lights, GPS, communications, towing, storage and attachment for medical/technical equipment. Seating solutions and instrument layouts can be adjusted for long-term use.
