ADJUSTABILITY

As always, the suspension is easy to adjust without tools, both front and rear, so you maintain full control throughout the ride. The rear shock has a hand-adjustable dual compression function that allows you to fine-tune both high and low speed settings in seconds. The front fork is just as easy to customize, with hand-adjustable clickers at both the bottom of the fork leg and the top of the fork.

ENGINE

Weighing just 26.11kg, this compact powerhouse delivers impressive performance, setting the standard in the 250cc four-stroke class. The engine in the KTM 250 SX-F has been carefully developed and fine-tuned to match the bike's overall handling characteristics, with extra power in the midrange and top end.

LAUNCH CONTROL & QUICK SHIFTER

The KTM SX-F series is built to take off, and comes standard with launch control and Quickshifter function, which allows you to quickly upshift without using the clutch.

Launch control is easily activated by pressing the traction control and Quickshifter buttons simultaneously. The system limits power to the rear wheel, improving grip and preventing you from losing control during hard acceleration. The Quickshifter function allows you to shift from second to fifth gear without interruption, so you can focus fully on the first corner.

PERFORMANCE

The engine in the KTM SX-F is angled 2 degrees rearward, which provides better mass balance and lower overall weight. This improves handling characteristics and provides more stability during acceleration.

The muffler is optimized for faster response in conjunction with the mapping switch, while also providing a slightly more muted exhaust sound.

ERGONOMICS

The tank covers are made of two-component plastic that effectively directs air towards the radiators. A compact fuel tank protector provides a tighter and more secure fit, reducing the risk of frame wear and significantly improving durability. All of this works together with the specially designed handlebar triangle to provide exceptional knee contact and gripping surfaces – especially when standing on the footpegs.

CUSHIONING

The 48mm WP XACT AER forks fitted to the KTM SX and SX-F models feature a encapsulated air spring and a pressurized oil chamber that provides progressive and consistent damping. Oil and air channels reduce pressure peaks, and together with the mid-valve damping system, this provides premium feedback and comfort for the rider. The fork settings are carefully matched to the frame and rear linkage, ensuring top performance at all levels.

As for adjustments, these are easily accessible via a single air pressure valve for preload, as well as easy-to-use click adjustments for compression and rebound. The WP air pump needed to adjust the fork's air pressure is included as standard in the purchase package.

At the rear, the WP XACT rear shock provides control, with settings taken directly from the KTM Factory Racing Team. The frame and shock geometry provides increased ground clearance at the link arm, reducing the risk of blow-through. Small diameter link bolts save weight, while optimized link arm seals improve responsiveness and provide advanced damping characteristics.

STABILITY

The KTM Motocross range features a specially developed rear brake pedal that provides extra stiffness, better resistance to bending and improved braking feel. At the front, a forged steering head connection and CNC-machined steering crowns ensure perfect alignment of the fork tubes.

The precise geometry of the steering crowns provides extremely responsive and smooth fork movement, while maintaining stability – even when you're pushing through ruts and chasing the checkered flag.
